ep - t h / 06 05 24 2 v 4 1 4 Ju n 20 06 Deformed Spin Chain and Spinning String in Deformed AdS 5 × S 5

We first analyze the spinning string in the magnetic field deformed AdS5×S spacetime which was constructed in our previous paper. It is seen that the associated effective Lagrangian of string sigma model describes the spin chain model with magnetic field, in which the corresponding spin vector has been properly deformed and is living on the deformed S. The mechanism of spin deformation is described in detail and is shown to be a general property in a class of deformed spacetime. We next perform the T-duality to the tilted D2-branes to find the spacetime of the D3-branes with the antisymmetric B field. In the near-horizon limit it becomes the AdS5 × S under the B-field deformation. We investigate the classical string spinning on the background and show that it reproduces the spin chain under the magnetic field with a specific interaction. E-mail: [email protected]
